3. Installing the Printer Driver

 (1) Double-click "Magicolor2530DL.pkg."
 (2) Click "Continue" on "Welcome to the Magicolor2530DL Installer."
 (3) Click "Continue" on "Important Information."
 (4) Click "Continue" on "Software License Agreement," and then click "Agree."
 (5) Select a destination volume on "Select a Destination" page. Then click "Continue." 
 (6) The message indicating standard install appears. Click "Install." 
 (7) The user authentication appears. Enter the administrator user name and password, then click "OK."  
 (8) Click "Close" after confirming a message "The software was successfully installed."

4. Uninstalling the Printer Driver

 (1) Double-click "magicolor2530DL Uninstaller."
 (2) The uninstaller starts. Click "Delete." 
 (3) Enter the administrator user name and password. Then, click "OK." 
 (4) Click "Close" after confirming a message "The software was successfully uninstalled."

5. Adding a Printer

 (1) From the Apple Menu, click "System Preferences," and then click "Print & Fax." 
 (2) Click "+" at the lower left of the screen.
 (3) Add a printer by one of the following procedures which are appropriate for each protocol; Bonjour, IP Printing and USB. 

 -Bonjour
 (1) Click "Default Browser" to display a default browser. 
 (2) Select a printer connected by Bonjour from a printer list.
 (3) Make sure that "KONICA MINOLTA magicolor 2530 DL" is selected from the pop-up menu, and then click "Add." 　　

-IP Printing
 (1) Click "IP" to display an IP browser.
 (2) Choose LPD (Line Printer Daemon), IPP (Internet Printing Protocol), or HP Jetdirect - Socket from "Protocol."
 (3) Enter the DNS host name or IP address of the printer in the "Address" field. 
 (4) Enter "ipp" in the "Queue" field if "IPP" is selected in "Protocol. "Enter "lp," "LP," "default," or "DEFAULT" in the "Queue" field if "LPD" is selected in "Protocol."
 (5) Select "KONICA MINOLTA magicolor 2530 DL" from a driver pop-up menu.
 (6) Click "Add."
 (7) The added printer appears on the printer list.

 -USB
 (1) Click "Default Browser" to display a default browser.
 (2) Select a printer connected by USB from the printer list.
 (3) Select "KONICA MINOLTA magicolor 2530 DL" from a driver pop-up menu. 
 (4) Click "Add."
 (5) The added printer appears on the printer list.

6. Limitations

[Print Center (Print Utility)]
 (1) Installable Options
  - Regardless of printer status, the initial settings of all options are "Not Installed." You must configure "Installable Options" after the installation. 
  - Changes of the "Installable Options" setting may not be applied to the running application. Reboot the application when you change the "Installable Options" setting.

 (2) Custom Paper Size and Paper Type
  - There is no limitation of the entry of paper size on the Mac OS X page setup dialog screen.
    This printer supports the following custom paper size:

          Height: 148 - 297 mm　　　   Thick, Transparency, Label, Postcard, Envelop, Glossy 
          Height: 198 - 356 mm　　　   Plain, Recycled, Letterhead

　- The height of custom paper size depends on paper type. 
    Specify the range which is appropriate for the paper type. A job may remain in the spooler when the size out of range is specified. Select a job from the job list of the spooler which you want to delete and delete the job by pressing the delete button on the tool bar. 

  - Because of the Mac OS X limitations, it is not allowed to use "Custom" and the names of the standard sizes, such as "A4" and "Letter," for the name of the custom size. 

 (3) Margin Setting
  - Margins set by Microsoft Word may not be printed properly.

 (4) Cover Page
　- Cover Page is supported only in English. CUPS outputs the cover page in English, irrespective of the driver language. 

 (5) Watermark
　- Only watermark is printed on the next page of the last page when the document of odd number of pages are printed while duplex printing is specified by OS.
    However, if one-page document is printed while duplex printing is specified, watermark is printed only on the page.  

　- Blue watermark is printed in purple.
