Two KONICA MINOLTA Color Laser
Printers Named
Buyers Laboratory Pick of the Year
magicolor® 7300 EN and magicolor 2350 EN ranked
as outstanding performers in their respective categories
August 10, 2004 - Mobile, AL
– KONICA MINOLTA PRINTING SOLUTIONS announced today that its magicolor
7300 EN and magicolor 2350 EN color laser printers have each received
Buyers Laboratory’s Spring 2004 Pick of the Year award. The magicolor
7300, a large-format, tandem printer that features true-to-life color
quality, won in the category of Outstanding Color Laser/LED Workgroup
Printer. The magicolor 2350, a desktop color laser with photorealistic
quality, earned its place as Outstanding Sub-$1,000 Color Laser/LED Printer.
Buyers Laboratory Pick of the Year awards recognize the most exceptional
performers from among many products BLI tests annually in each product
category. The independent testing lab subjects each product to months
of hands-on analysis, evaluating critical factors such as durability,
quality, productivity, and ease of use. Both the KONICA MINOLTA magicolor
7300 and 2350 “…stood out from the rest as clearly superior
to their competition.”
KONICA MINOLTA magicolor 7300 – Outstanding Color Laser/LED
Workgroup Printer
During BLI’s three-month evaluation of the magicolor 7300, it exhibited
exemplary performance and reliability. The printer required no service
and didn’t experience even one misfeed during its 40,000-impression
test cycle. Analysts were also impressed with the printer’s reliable,
high-quality color.
“The magicolor 7300 EN offers exceptional print quality,”
said Marlene Glazer, BLI’s printer industry analyst. “In fact,
the output quality is among the best we’ve seen.” The printer
earned BLI’s highest rating for image quality and, according to
Buyers Lab, is one of a few printers that have completed the lab’s
testing with no degradation in color.
KONICA MINOLTA magicolor 2350 – Outstanding Sub-$1,000 Color
Laser/LED Printer
Like the magicolor 7300, the magicolor 2350 completed BLI’s 3-month
evaluation with flying colors, producing remarkable performance with no
service required. Buyers Lab found the printer was able to produce a spectrum
of color “…typical of the range usually produced by color
LED engines, which is a remarkable feat for a sub-$1,000 color laser printer.”
The magicolor 2350 received the testing lab’s top image quality
rating for color business graphics and photographs, and all forms of black
output.
“One of the lowest-priced color laser/LED printers on the market,
the magicolor 2350 EN, which also offers one of the lowest per-page costs
for supplies for multi-pass color laser printers, is clearly an outstanding
value,” BLI reported.
